交通区位：京福、合淮阜、济祁等5条高速公路穿境而过，正在规划建设S16、S19两条高速。京福、商合杭等高铁在淮南设站4个。合肥地铁S1号线延伸至淮南寿县新桥产业园。淮南市区距新桥机场仅40分钟车程，已开通多条国际航线。境内淮河航道396.6公里，引江济淮工程和3000万吨淮南港正在建设中。

资源禀赋：是全国14个亿吨级煤炭基地之一，全国6大煤电基地之一，境内煤炭远景储量444亿吨，探明储量153亿吨，现有11对现代化矿井。煤层气储量5928亿立方米。拥有6大发电企业、26台发电机组，火电装机容量1470万千瓦，光伏、风电装机容量201.6万千瓦。

Local Advantages

Traffic location: There are five expressways, including Jingfu, Hehuaifu, and Jiqi, passing through the area, we are currently planning to construct two expressways, S16 and S19. Four stations will be set up in Huainan for Beijing-Fuzhou, Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou and other high-speed railways. Hefei Metro Line S1 extends to Shouxian Xinqiao Industrial Park in Huainan. It takes only 40 minutes to Xinqiao Airport from the city, and the airport has opened multiple international routes. Within the city, the Huaihe River waterway is 396.6 kilometers long, and the Project to guide the Yangtze River to assist the Huaihe River and Huainan Port, with a capacity of 30 million tons, is under construction.

Rich in natural resource: It is one of the 14 billion-ton scale coal bases in China and one of the six power bases in China. There are prospective coal reserves of 44.4 billion tons, proven reserves of 15.3 billion tons, and the existing 11 pairs of modern mines. The reserve of coalbed methane is 592.8 billion cubic meters. There are 6 power generation enterprises and 26 generating sets. The installed capacity of thermal power was 14.7 million kilowatts and the installed capacity of photovoltaic and wind power was 2.016 million kilowatts.

Sufficient talents: There are 8 national research platforms, 9 universities including Anhui University of Science and Technology, and 16 secondary vocational and technical schools. Currently, there are 75000 high-skilled talents and over 400000 skilled workers.

Industrial Foundation

With a complete range of industries and a sound industrial foundation, Huainan is an important industrial city in Anhui Province. It has 34 important industries including chemical industry, medicine, automobile, textile, etc. It has gathered more than 800 industrial enterprises above designated size. We have a “2+4” park platform, which includes 1 national level development zone, 1 national level high-tech zone, and 4 provincial level development zones. The China (Anhui) Pilot Free Trade Zone Huainan Linkage Innovation Zone was approved by Anhui Provincial People’s Government in April 2022, which is an important support for Huainan to help Anhui to create new inland highlands.

新一代信息技术产业，重点发展5G通信、新型显示、电子元器件、大数据等产业，积极培育工业互联网、智能终端、空天信息等产业，形成“4+3”新一代信息技术产业体系。

新材料产业，重点打造先进化工材料、新型建筑材料、先进钢铁材料三大产业集群，引进工程塑料、高端聚烯烃、功能膜材料、电子级化学品、锂电池材料、高性能纤维及复合材料、轴承钢、优质碳素结构钢等项目。

新能源汽车及零部件产业，重点引进纯电动商用车和专用车等新能源整车制造，三电等核心零部件项目，空调子系统等通用零部件项目。

高端装备制造产业，重点引进煤炭综合采掘装备及煤机装备整体智能化的项目，非开挖设备等挖掘机械和工程机械及其基础零部件研制项目，工业机器人、智能测控装置和特种焊接装备、军民融合技术装备等智能装备项目。

Future Direction

Industry of New Information Technology: By focusing on 5G communication, new-type display, electronic components and big data, Huainan takes initiative to cultivate industries such as industrial Internet, intelligent terminals, and aerospace information, trying to form a “4+3” new generation information technology industry system.

New Materials Industry, Huainan focuses on building three industrial clusters, bringing in Engineering plastics, high-end polyolefins, functional film materials, electronic grade chemicals, lithium battery materials, high-performance fibers and composite materials, decoration materials, new waterproof materials, new thermal insulation materials, low alloy steel, bearing steel, high-quality carbon structures Steel and other items.

Industry of New Energy Vehicles and Parts. We Focus on the introduction of new energy vehicle manufacturing, like pure electric commercial vehicles and special vehicles, core components, like battery, motor and electric control, and general components, such as air conditioning subsystems.

High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry.
